This course will provide the opportunity for students to experience an introduction to the world of work. Students provided early release will be required to begin work within one half hour of leaving school. Applications to participate must be approved and accepted by the School To Career Coordinator.
04234 STC JOBS FOR BAY STATE GRADUATES
This course is open to all students who are entering the work force. This course covers resume writing, cover letters, filling out job applications and job skills building. Job shadowing and outside speakers from the working community are an integral part of this course. For further information, see your guidance counselor or visit the Jobs for Bay State Office in Room 462A.

04454 SCHOOL-TO-CAREER INTERNSHIP
This course will provide the opportunity for students to apply their academics to the real world of work situations. Internships will be arranged through career majors, appropriate department heads, and the School to Career Coordinator. The may be paid or unpaid experiences. Students must be juniors or seniors in good standing, have transportation, have a job or strong career interest and must submit an application with the School to Career office prior to being accepted into the program. They also will be required to attend an orientation before starting the internship experience.
This course is designed for juniors and seniors who have a strong interest in education. This course explores the issues affecting the schools in our society today. Students will have the opportunity for a field supervised placement in a classroom. Students will also have a Tech Prep agreement with Bristol Community College and other state colleges and universities.

09704 STC TEACHER ACADEMY INTERNSHIP
This course is open to students who are taking Teaching Academy I who have fulfilled their physical education requirement. These students will participate in an additional 2-block internship in a classroom.
Note: * Concurrent enrollment in Teacher Academy 09584 is required. See your counselor.

Peer tutors will tutor any student experiencing difficulty in any major subject. Student tutors will have the option of fulfilling a community service requirement or earning academic credit.
NOTE: * Student tutors are required to have a grade of “B” or better in the subject they plan to tutor.
* Permission of the instructor is required for enrollment.
* Enrollment in any course that meets less than 5 times per week requires enrollment in a coordinated course. See your Counselor for details.
