Report Cards: Faculty may begin posting Term 3 grades today. The deadline for posting is Tuesday, April 15, 2008. Report cards will be distributed to students on Friday, April 18, 2008.
The Secondary Reading Grant Team is currently attending a graduate level strategy instruction course designed to impart reading strategies that can be applied across the curriculum.
In preparation for the delivery of these strategies to the respective departments, the team has arranged for Professor Mazza to provide two, one hour faculty meetings on Metacognition.
The first seminar will take place on April 16th; from 3:00-4:00, in the Auditorium. Information on the second hour will follow.

Important telephone updates:
Placing calls outside of building/district:
- Dial 9 plus the telephone number
- Disregard any tone you may get while dialing the number
- When you finish dialing, wait and your call will go through after a few seconds (again, Disregard any tone you may get)
Placing calls to another building in the district:
- Dial 97 plus the 3-digit extension
Calling room to room:
- When calling another classroom, you must first dial a 2 (i.e. room 400, you would enter 2400); if it is a two digit room, you must first dial 25 (i.e. room 56, you would dial 2556)
SECURITY: Security’s new extension is 1257. To reach a school resource officer, please dial 1209 or 1210.
Reporting Faculty/Staff absences: Staff absences can be reported by calling 508-675-8100 and entering extension 2106 when you hear the greeting
Friendly Reminder: Faculty and staff are asked not to give students passes to leave class for the purpose of getting a bus pass. Students should be getting their bus passes before school, during lunch or after school only. Thank you for your cooperation.
Tradewinds: The Tradewinds Restaurant will be open Tuesday through Friday, 8:30 to 10:30 for Continental Breakfast (muffins, coffee, juice).
Scholarships: In an effort to increase the number of students who apply for scholarships, the Guidance Department is looking for your assistance. Please encourage any and all students who meet the eligibility guidelines to apply. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Guidance Department at Ext.199. It is our belief that it will take the Durfee community to effectuate growth in our student’s achievements. Thanks for anything you can do!!!
Field Trips: All field trip requests should be submitted to Becky Caron in the Main Office.
Sovereign Bank: Due to security concerns, the bank cannot accept ANY transactions outside of bank hours. Bank hours are 11:30 AM – 12:42 PM.
Keeley Library: Friendly Reminder: When sending students to use the library, please provide a pass or a signed agenda book. This helps the library staff determine the validity of students using the resources. Also, please refrain from sending students to the library during the last class (1:40 - 2:30) on Friday afternoons. The library performs computer maintenance and hosts Peaceful Coalition during this time. Thank you for your cooperation.
