The Hilltop Letter Policy The Durfee Hilltop encourages its readers to use this publication as a means of expressing their opinions regarding any subject matter. The editor reserves a right to edit for clarity. Letters should address the editor and not a specific individual. While letters can be critical of an individual, they should not libel or slander. The Hilltop will not accept anonymous letters except in circumstances in which the executive board determines that there is a clear and present danger to the author. The Hilltop will not accept letters regarding the coverage of other publications, unless the coverage itself has become a newsworthy issue that has appeared in the Hilltop. Letters may be given to any staff member, dropped off in Room 289, mailed to Durfee Hilltop, B.M.C. Durfee High School, 360 Elsbree St., Fall River, MA 02720, or e-mailed to Hilltop289@yahoo.com. The Durfee Hilltop Staff welcomes comments and constructive criticism.
