Grade 9 Summer Reading List

English I

Listed below are text selections for students entering the ninth grade at B. M. C. Durfee High School. It is a standard requirement for each student to have completed the assignment upon entering the ninth grade.

ASSIGNMENT:

1. Select one book from the list below.
2. Read your selected book. Complete the summary reading assessment for grade 9 during and after you’ve read the book. Bring it with you on the first day of school so that your English teacher can collect the assessment.
3. Have your parent or guardian sign your assignment, confirming that it is your work.
